~ Brittney & David | Engaged ~
Pleasure House Point Nature Preserve | Virginia Beach, Virginia | March 20, 2025
Brittney, David and their adorable son Leo met with me at the Pleasure House Point Natural Area in Virginia Beach. We had such a fun time and Leo was so cute on and off camera. These two have a love story that started up in Northern Virginia where Michael & I are from! It was so crazy to hear that we lived so close to each other. Our paths probably crossed so many times and we had no clue! They are getting married in just a few weeks in May! I am so so excited for them! I already know it is going to be a gorgeous day in Norfolk, VA.
These two met at their work Christmas party in 2021, when their boss introduced them. They started talking and one night after work, they decided to go to IHOP and stayed out til 1 AM talking. They began dating and in December of 2022 they had their son Leo. David was extremely supportive during the pregnancy and postpartum. Come Valentines Day in 2023, David took Brittney out to eat and had planned to propose in the restaurant. But he was so nervous, he waited until it was more relaxed and proposed out by their car. Brittney said “Yes”! They are finally able to tie the knot, after a health scare and serious surgery for David in 2024.

Now…. I don’t usually talk about stuff like this within my couples engagement session blogs, BUT this really needs to be brought to as many peoples attention as possible…..What is crazy ( and a little sad) is I was there just a few days prior and the demolition of the Pleasure House Point Area to build condos and/or other buildings for another engagement session and everything was untouched. But, when I returned with Brittney, David & Leo, there were so many trees down and so much construction equipment had moved in. Many animals including Sea Turtles and Sea Fowl use this land for nesting. It was a beautiful hidden gem of peace and serenity in a BUSY beach CITY. Many people are doing what they can, including signing petitions to hopefully stop any further destruction. If you can take about 60 seconds of your time, please sign this petition HERE and to learn about all the destruction and deforestation impacts – please get your verified information HERE!
