Kathleen and Mike had a GORGEOUS Golden Hour for their beach engagement session. It was a warm spring evening with lots of sea breeze! We had so much fun chatting about wedding planning, their love story and bonded over our favorite guilty pleasure – Netflix Reality TV… like The Ultimatum and Love is Blind! They are getting married at their church in Norfolk and then having a huge beach house party down in Sandbridge after in mid-September.
Kathleen and Mike met at a Halloween party when the two were in grad school. Kathleen was dressed as Darth Maul from Star Wars and Mike was dressed as a cowboy with a bandana covering his face. After meeting, the two did not know what the other person looked like and asked to be reconnected through friends. Finally reconnecting after a few months, they were inseparable, and realized they had been living in the same apartment complex all along. Now nearly 4 years later, with some lomg distance because of school and the Coast Guard, the two are excited to tie the knot in September and celebrate their first Halloween as newlyweds and hope that it remains a special time for the rest of their lives.
